Sandy Hill Home Renovation Services

Thinking about a Sandy Hill home renovation? You’re in good company. Sandy Hill has a mix of heritage homes, converted duplexes, and condos near the University of Ottawa, so renovations here tend to be a little more nuanced than a typical suburban update. Tremblay Renovation helps Sandy Hill homeowners improve the spaces they use every day, with practical design guidance and solid workmanship that account for older construction and tighter lots. Whether you are looking for bathroom renovation in Sandy Hill, a kitchen remodel, or a basement upgrade, we are here to help turn your vision into a reality.

Bathroom Renovations in Sandy Hill

Bathrooms in Sandy Hill homes often show their age first: older plumbing and compact layouts don’t meet modern needs well. As such, most frequent bathroom renovations in Sandy Hill feature increased storage, better ventilation, and more efficient layouts. At Tremblay Renovation, we handle the full scope of work, including demo, plumbing and electrical coordination, waterproofing, tile, and fixtures.

Kitchen Renovations in Sandy Hill

Kitchens in Sandy Hill can be charming, but they are not always functional. Our kitchen renovations for Sandy Hill clients usually focus on improving flow, adding storage, and making the space easier to live in. That might mean reconfiguring cabinetry, upgrading lighting, adding an island where it actually fits, or selecting durable surfaces that suit real cooking (not just pretty photos). If you are renovating a rental property or a multi-unit home, we can also help you plan finishes that hold up to higher traffic without blowing up the budget.

Basement Renovations in Sandy Hill

Basement renovations in Sandy Hill often focus on creating more usable space, such as family rooms, home offices, guest rooms, and legal or in-law-style suites (where zoning and building requirements apply). Every basement renovation in Sandy Hill begins with fundamentals: moisture control, insulation strategy, ceiling height, and safe egress options. Then we plan the layout around how you’ll actually use the space – and turn your basement into an extension of your home – not an awkward, forgotten corner.

Always a pleasure working with Tremblay Renovation. They’re a quality company that’s easy to work with. Great communication, great employees and great values. I’m picky about who I work with and I’ve never regretted partnering with the Tremblay team on projects. Here’s a skylight I just installed for them!!

This is our second time working with Tremblay Renovation and as with our first project with them we are very happy with the work. From the first meeting to the last day of work they are involved and making sure everything is working out the way you want it. Very professional, the area is cleaned up after each day. Highly recommend this company.

Tremblay renovated our kitchen. It was a very positive experience from beginning to end. The staff from the designer, project manager, to contractors were all knowledgeable, and readily available to assist, answer questions. The design of the kitchen was thoughtfully done. It is both beautiful and functional. They communicated what to expect when the project began, when various workers would be in, and checked that work was completed to our satisfaction. Contractors cleaned up the job site daily, and did quality work. They run a reliable, honest, quality renovation company. We will definitely work with them again.

What a great experience having Tremblay Renovations do a much needed makeover of our master bathroom. Jansu did a great job giving us lots of choices and listening to our needs during the design phase and Kale did an incredible job with the renovation. He was meticulous, hard-working and always cleaning up causing minimal disruption to our household during the work. The final results are amazing. Thank you! Here are some before and after pics, the room is unrecognizable.

I waited two years before leaving this review as I wanted to see how our renovations held up over time. Happily, I only have positive things to say about Tremblay Renovations. The work done included tearing down and rebuilding a brand new master ensuite (walls, ceiling, plumbing, electric, etc.), major updates to the kitchen (cupboard doors, counters, backsplash, floor, electric), front hall flooring, new powder room and replacing all baseboards in common living areas. The process was as painless as possible. Tremblay did not start the work until all materials had been received (no small feat during COVID times). During the construction phase, we were consulted on an ongoing basis and were able to provide input on major decisions (ie. placement of pot lights, placement of kitchen island, etc.) The work took the amount of time estimated and there was no dead time as workers were on the premises everyday. Jeff, Kale and Mike were great, as was the designer, Amanda. Since the renovations two years ago, a couple of minor issues have come up. Jeff has been outstanding in following up with me on these items. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the quality of the work. I should also mention that Tremblay’s cost estimate was reasonable (compared to other companies that we approached who made no effort to find cost savings for us) and the final cost was on budget. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tremblay renovations.

Our Work

From bathroom renovations Sandy Hill homeowners rely on to kitchen renovations and basement upgrades, Sandy Hill properties benefit from added living space, improved functionality, and thoughtful updates that respect the character of the neighbourhood.  Here are some examples of our previous work:

new-kitchen

LEVESQUE

This concept was designed to be open and bright. Our team combined the use of natural colours, high ceilings, and large windows to blend the exterior with the interior. The hardwood flooring, countertop, and ceiling beams accentuate the open space with their wood grain finish. The traditional style base cabinetry, adorned with shaker panels, is complemented by a classic subway tile backsplash and a patterned accent tile, adding a touch of time-honored elegance. In contrast, the upper cabinetry exudes contemporary flair. Designed in flat panels and sans handles, they offer a sleek, streamlined look. This modernity is echoed in the living space's centerpiece - a fireplace crafted with a cement texture and hue, harmoniously complementing the countertop and the wall organization unit.

Entertainment Basement

Entertainment Basement

This newly renovated basement features black galaxy granite counters with ebony birch cabinetry, all encased in beautiful, rustic barn board. The wood tones continue throughout the space, leading you to the comfortable, cozy fire and your favorite games: pool and table hockey. No basement is complete without a jaw-dropping bathroom that showcases Fleurco's matte black latitude shower doors, a Stonewood vanity, and American Standard's popular and classic studio toilet. Who's ready to entertain?

Dramatic Expansion

Dramatic Expansion

The existing kitchen space was outdated, small and lacked functionality. The first priority was to design a room with sufficient space to entertain large gatherings of family and friends. The new floor plan involved removing the structural wall between the existing kitchen and living room. This created the much-needed extra space to allow for a large central island featuring Dekton Olimpo countertops, with an accenting walnut wood countertop section, white shaker style cabinetry, beverage cooler, large fridge/freezer combo, and double wall ovens. Wide plank oak flooring, light fixtures with a retro vibe, and Viena Graphite glazed wall tile complete the space.

Feminine Touch

Feminine Touch

A classic white shaker vanity cabinet with ample drawers and a tall recessed wall cabinet provide much-needed storage space in this classic yet freshly designed bathroom. The vanity, complete with a Silestone Lagoon Quartz countertop, creates a timeless design. A custom mirror with integrated wall sconces visually expands the space. The unique patterned floor tile brings visual interest while adding a bohemian flare. Introducing this patterned tile into the custom shower niche unifies the look while bringing some contrast to the traditional white subway tile in the bath shower surround. A bathroom any lady could love!
